The best free net worth tracker

One number for everything you own minus everything you owe — kept current by the trackers you already use, in any currency, without handing a third party your bank password.

Net Worth Tracker

AIPro

Your net worth stays current because it is read from the trackers you already keep, not retyped once a month.

No banking credentials leave your hands — nothing here asks for them, and no aggregator is given access on your behalf.

True multi-currency: every source is converted before anything is summed, so the total is a real number rather than a mix of units.

The retirement projection is built in and every assumption behind it is visible and editable.

SpreadsheetBank aggregators
Most net worth tools ask you to choose between two bad options. A spreadsheet is honest and private, but it is only as current as the last evening you spent typing balances into it — and it quietly goes stale the month life gets busy. A bank aggregator is current, but you pay for that by handing your banking credentials to a third party, and only if you live somewhere it has coverage.
This one takes a third route: it reads the numbers you are already keeping. Investments come from your portfolio, property equity from your rentals, balances owed from your debts, and only cash and physical assets are typed in by hand. Change a holding or make a loan payment and net worth has already moved — there is no second copy to keep in sync, and nothing to remember to update.

What makes it different

It reads your other trackers

Investments, property equity and debts are pulled live from the trackers that own them. You choose which sources count — switch one off and it leaves the total instantly.

History that writes itself

A snapshot is recorded each month with every component stored separately, so a year later you can see not just what changed, but which part of the sheet changed it.

Real multi-currency

A euro savings account, a dollar portfolio and a loan in a third currency are converted at current rates before anything is added — and the whole page can be read in any currency.

Photo in, statement out

Read your accounts off a bank statement photo instead of typing them, and export a dated PDF net worth statement — the document a broker or an advisor actually asks for.

AI copilot

Ask your own numbers a question

The assistant reads the same monthly snapshot the page shows — the total, each component, how it moved, and your retirement assumptions — so its answers can never disagree with the chart in front of you.

What it can do

01

Explain what actually moved your net worth this month, component by component.

02

Test a change to your spending or withdrawal rate against your real projection.

03

Point out where a number came from, and which tracker to fix it in.

Live
Why did my net worth drop last month?
Your investments fell 6.4% while everything else held, and you cleared $1,200 of debt in the same month — so the drop is entirely market movement, not spending. Your investable assets still cover 34% of your FIRE target.

Where it wins

  • Your net worth stays current because it is read from the trackers you already keep, not retyped once a month.
  • No banking credentials leave your hands — nothing here asks for them, and no aggregator is given access on your behalf.
  • True multi-currency: every source is converted before anything is summed, so the total is a real number rather than a mix of units.
  • The retirement projection is built in and every assumption behind it is visible and editable.

Where it doesn't

  • No automatic bank sync. Balances for cash accounts are typed in or read from a statement photo — that is the trade for not sharing credentials.
  • No automated home valuation. Property values are yours to enter, because an estimate on the largest line of the sheet is a guess presented as a fact.
  • History starts the month you start. Nothing before that can be reconstructed from balances you hold today.
  • No mobile app yet — it is a web app that works on a phone.
FAQ

Questions people actually ask

Everything worth knowing about where the numbers come from, currencies, the retirement math and privacy.

01Is it really free?
Yes. The total, the breakdown, the monthly history, the analytics, the retirement projection and the full CSV export are free on every plan. Reading accounts from a statement photo uses AI and is part of Pro, as it is everywhere else on the site.
02What is free and what is Pro?
Free: your net worth, the breakdown, the monthly history, the source switches, five accounts you add by hand, and the full CSV export. Pro: the retirement plan, the analytics block, the PDF net worth statement and reading accounts from a photo. The account limit applies to adding a new one — everything you already entered stays fully editable on any plan.
03Do I have to connect my bank?
No, and you cannot — by design. The tracker reads your other trackers, and cash accounts are entered by hand or read from a photo of a statement. Nothing here asks for a banking credential.
04How is net worth calculated?
Investments plus cash plus property equity plus other assets, minus debts. Every source is converted into one currency at current rates before any addition, so a euro account and a dollar portfolio never get added as if they were the same unit.
05What if I do not use the other trackers?
Then the tracker holds whatever you add by hand — cash, savings, a home owned outright, a vehicle. Each source has a switch, so you can also run it as a purely manual sheet.
06How does the retirement projection work?
Your annual spending divided by your withdrawal rate gives the target — at the conventional 4% rate that is 25 years of spending. Each year applies your return, then income until the year you stop working, then spending grown by inflation. It is arithmetic on the rates you typed, not a forecast, and every rate is editable.
07Can I get my data out?
Always, on any plan. One CSV carries your accounts with their own currencies, the full monthly history broken down by component, and your retirement assumptions.
