Is the inventory tracker free?
Yes. The free plan keeps up to 25 products with unlimited movements — deliveries, sales, returns, write-offs and stock-takes — plus the restock list, analytics, CSV import and export. Pro removes the product limit, reads supplier invoices from a photo and adds a shared shelf. New accounts get 14 days of Pro free, no card.
How is the stock count calculated?
The quantity is never stored as a number you edit. Every delivery, sale, return, write-off and stock-take is a row, and the count is their sum, worked out every time the page loads. That is why the shelf cannot drift from its history, and why every unit on hand can be explained.
How are cost of goods sold and margin worked out?
With weighted average cost. Each delivery adds units at what they cost, freight included, and a second batch at a higher price moves the average. A sale is costed at the average at that moment, so the margin is a real margin. Write-offs are reported as money lost, never as sales.
Can I import my products from Excel or a CSV file?
Yes. A product list from any spreadsheet can be imported as CSV; the preview shows which columns matched and the first rows exactly as they will be created before anything is written. A barcode can be scanned with your phone's camera, and on Pro a photo of a supplier invoice becomes a delivery you check line by line.
Does it sync with Shopify, Etsy or Amazon?
No. It does not connect to a shop, a till or a marketplace, so sales are not pulled in automatically. What is in the tracker is what you record by hand or import. Each sale can carry a channel — your shop, a marketplace, a market stall — so the analytics still show where things sell.
Can I track products I make myself?
Yes. A recipe says what one batch is made of and how many units it yields. Recording a production run adds the finished units, removes the materials and prices each unit from the materials' average cost at that moment, freight and labour included, so a jar of jam or a candle has a real cost of goods.
Can my business partner or an assistant use the same stock?
Yes, with a shared shelf on Pro. A viewer sees everything, an editor records deliveries, sales, stock-takes and orders, and an admin manages the products and settings. Every row shows who added it. Writing needs your own Pro; viewing and exporting are free for everyone in every role.
Does it support FIFO, variants or serial numbers?
No. It uses weighted average cost only, which fits a shelf of interchangeable goods. A T-shirt in three sizes is three products with three SKUs, and there is no serial or batch tracking. It is a stock tracker, not an accounting system: it does not post journal entries or handle tax.
