A wedding is the one event where every line is paid in parts: a deposit on the venue, half up front to the photographer, the balance a week before. A spreadsheet's 'paid' column cannot say that, so 'left to spend' is wrong for months. Here every line carries an estimate, the real quote once you have it, and what has actually been handed over — so the overview says what is still to pay, by when.
The rest of the wedding lives in lists: guests by table with party size, meal choice and dietary needs; vendors with a contact, a quote, a rating and whether the contract is signed; a starter checklist from 'agree the budget' a year out to 'give the final head count' a week before. Frequently Asked Questions
How do I record a deposit?
Open the line, choose 'Deposit / part' and type what you handed over and when. The line stays open, 'still to pay' shrinks by the deposit, and the calendar keeps the due date until you mark it paid in full.
How does the head count work?
A row is a party — the Millers, party size four — so the head count sums party sizes over everyone who has not declined. Meal choices and dietary needs are counted per head; children are counted separately.
