Budget tracker questions, answered
Is this budget tracker really free?
Yes. Zero-based budgeting, the 50/30/20 meters, the payment calendar and CSV export are free on every plan. Pro lifts the line-item and category limits and unlocks the AI budget copilot.
Do I have to connect my bank account?
No. There is no bank login and no credentials are ever requested. You enter planned and actual amounts yourself, or hand them over from the Expenses tracker — which keeps the tracker usable in countries no aggregator covers.
What is the difference between zero-based budgeting and the 50/30/20 rule?
Zero-based budgeting assigns every unit of income to a category until nothing is unallocated. The 50/30/20 rule is a coarser split — 50% needs, 30% wants, 20% savings and debt. The tracker runs both at once: you plan zero-based and the analytics tab scores you against 50/30/20.
Can I budget in more than one currency?
Yes. Every line item and category stores its own currency, and totals are converted at live rates into whichever currency you are viewing. The stored value never changes, so a salary in one currency and rent in another stay accurate.
Can I export my budget?
Yes, to CSV, on any plan, with every field the form collects. Exporting your own data is never gated.
